Marine Corps attracts 12,000 friends on MySpace
(Posted by francois to: interesting links | social networking )According to the seattle Post-Intelligencer (via corporate engagements), the Marine Corp has set up a profile on MySpace - complete with videos about drills and boot camps.
12,000 people signed up as friends and 430 already requested to be contacted by a recruiter.
Although this particular example is a little unsettling, using MySpace as a recruiting tool sounds like a logical thing to do.

What about companies recruiting or creating advertising within social networks and virtual worlds like Second Life?
In a few years there will be ways to communicate we still can not imagine.
