Bloggers - the new storytellers

The Pew Internet & American Life Project has come out with a new report "Bloggers - a portrait of the internet's new storytellers. (here for report PDF)"

Some interesting findings include:

So all in all, the majority of the blogging population consists of a new set of young, mostly anonymous writers who write primarily about personal stuff...

The 7% of bloggers write about entertainment
and 5% that write about business are the ones that I think will have the long-term impact.

In my online journeys, I've found a lot of ones that write the political and government blogs seem to get weary and burn out quick.

A number of them sign off and say they're tired of trying to save the world.
