Viral marketing embedded in social rejections

(Posted by francois to: word of mouth )

Large.gifThis one is too funny! NotMyNumber is a service that you can use to give a guy who asks you for your number a number, except it's not your reall number. When you dial the number ( I looked for a local number and got 617/459-4088), you get a girl telling you to go pound sand, but in the process she also praises budweiser.

I have heard of a similar idea where the number handed out was for a radio station. It occurs to me that this could be a way for a therapist or coach to market their help in dealing with rejection or those trying to find the love of their life... maybe.
