@Kathy B - thanks for taking the time to comment on my post. It's all about social, it's human 1.0 - people forget that and over-complicate things for the sake of sounding important :)

Makes so much sense. We get so caught up in the processes of being problem solvers, we forget to keep it simple! Love the social media is social - that's why I'm there! Thanks - great post, I tweeted it!

One of the "revolutionary" aspects about social media is that it is FORCING companies to stop viewing customers as TRANSACTIONS and begin viewing them as HUMAN BEINGS!!!

I just posted an open letter to a business that has LOST the opportunity to have me enter into a TRANSACTION with them because the only part of the relationship with me they seem to be interested in is in exchange of cash.

There are LOTS of companies who want your money - and the ones who will win that competition are the ones who recognize that those funds are being "released" in the name of satisfying a DESIRE - meeting a GOAL or solving a PROBLEM.

The companies that recognize the marketplace is full of HUMAN BEINGS are the ones who will thrive no matter WHAT the state of the economy. Those who view their customers as merely TRANSACTIONS - well, they'll continue to struggle no matter what economic conditions prevail!
