didn’t really get the PR nor the Branding one.
this cartoon prob will work just with 1 & 3
maybe this cartoon needs a clearer message – well – like an ad

After having an exhausting issue with this at work, and the fact that it needs to be differentiated:
)
I’d say marketing, that is getting our message out there.
PR is about convincing (’trust me’ is meant to be a joke against PR people
Advertising is about exposure.
Branding is what you want to make people feel through your interaction with your company (hence brand equity is subjective more than objective).
Funny how relevant this cartoon can be in the industry!
