		<description>Drugs can make all the difference for truly ill people.  However, I agree - we've gone way across the line; our society is now encouraged (trained?) to think there is a pill for every problem.  The U.S. Constitution did, after all, say "pursuit of happiness" not "entitled to"  (And, our Founding Fathers also had a different definition of happiness - not the empty fleeting happiness of consumer gluttony we seem to have falled into here in the U.S.)

It's normal to be nervous, afraid, unhappy, depressed on occasion.  In fact we'd be crazy not to feel one or all of these when confronted with scary, depressing things.  I'll never forget - years ago I was meeting with one of my staff who was being treated for "clinical depression" and often just disappeared if things got to be too much at work.   She was shocked when I told her that I too sometimes felt frightened, overwhelmed and sad.  "You mean, that's normal?" she marveled.
